Objective: To build a new, fast and accessible website from scratch, enhancing their online presence and providing valuable resources to the community.

• Create a new website based on a Figma design
• Implement a new WordPress theme from scratch

My Role and Solution

Role: WordPress Developer

Responsibilities:

• Developing of the new website from scratch
• Implementing the new WordPress theme as per the client’s design specifications
• Developing and integrating sections for Blog, Volunteer Events, and Donations
• Ensuring the website is responsive and accessible on all devices
• Coordinating with the client to ensure their requirements and feedback are addressed promptly
• Training the client to add and update content

Solution:

• Designed a modern and responsive, mobile first WordPress theme from scratch
• Created easy to use custom Gutenberg blocks matching the Figma design
• Integrated the donation GiveWP Donation Plugin
• Implemented a secure donation feature to facilitate online contributions
• Ensured bilingual support (English and Spanish) to cater to the multicultural audience
