Objective: To implement new Figma designs into a WordPress site, enhancing the client’s online presence and showcasing their cloud and containerization services.

My Role and Solution

Role: WordPress Developer

Responsibilities:

• Developing of the new website from scratch
• Implementing the new WordPress theme as per the client’s design specifications
• Ensuring the website is responsive and accessible on all devices
• Coordinating with the client to ensure their requirements and feedback are addressed promptly
• Ensuring the website accurately reflects the client’s brand and services.
• Training the client to add and update content

Technologies Used: WordPress, Gutenberg, Bedrock, WordPress Plugins, WPML Plugin, HTML, SASS, Javascript, React, Slick Slider, Cockpit, Deplo.io

Solution:

• Designed a modern and responsive, mobile first WordPress theme from scratch
• Created easy to use custom Gutenberg blocks matching the Figma design
• Integrated sorryapp.com status bar
• Ensured bilingual support (English and German) to cater to the multicultural audience
• Website page speed optimization

Outcome:

• Successfully launched the new website within a 5 months timeframe

Lessons Learned:

• The importance of a clear web design made in Figma and working with custom Gutenberg blocks. The implementation was very joyful for me.
• Effective project management and time allocation to meet part-time commitment requirements while delivering quality work
